I am currently a first-year master student of robotics at the University of Michigan. I received
my bachelor's degree in computer science at the Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute (RPI). I served as the primary contributor in the assistive robot
research project led by Dr. Wen John in the Center for Automation Technologies and Systems
(CATS) at RPI. The project is developing an assistive robot for people with quadriplegia.
This research is my first experience in applying interdisciplinary course knowledge
within one project. It also motivated me to undertake a further graduate research
program in building robust, visual-based control systems.
